Fishing
Swartvlei Lake is a favourite with anglers of all ages. Launch your boat from our private slipway, fish from the jetty, or paddle to your favourite spot. With patience you'll be rewarded by big Grunter (on sand prawn or white muscles), the occasional Garrick and, out in the lake, cob, elf, stumpnose and mullet.
Jetty & slipway
One of only a few properties on the lake with direct access and a private boat launch. Spend the day exploring the lake, fishing, skiing or simply cruising before returning to your chalet.
Water sports
Enjoy complimentary use of our canoes and stand-up paddleboards to explore the calm waters of the lake at your own pace. Try the stunning paddle up the Wolwe River (about 3 hours) in the north-west corner of the lake.
Swimming Pool
Cool off in our sparkling swimming pool overlooking the lake or unwind on a lounger while the children play. It's the perfect place to relax after a day of adventure.
Tennis
Challenge family and friends to a game on the full-size tennis court or enjoy a casual hit, surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Games room
Keep everyone entertained with table tennis and a pool table. Puzzles, board and card games are ideal for rainy afternoons and long evenings.
Bird watching
Wake to birdsong and an abundance of birdlife around the estate. Spot Knysna Loeries, malachite, swamp hens, fish eagles, cormorants, egrets, drongos, weavers and more.
